Fraser Valley was the toast of the B2 gold provincial regional rugby championships held at Burnaby Lake Sports Complex-East last weekend.
A Fraser Valley East side won the under-18 men’s competition, while a full Fraser Valley XV took the u-18 women’s title.

Fraser Valley East defeated Vancouver South 11-8 the men’s championship final.
Fraser Valley nipped Vancouver Island North 15-12 in the women’s gold-medal game.
Youth clinic in Burnaby
Kids aged six to 14 can learn rugby from the big boys at youth clinics to be held in Burnaby next month.
National team coaches and current B.C. Bears provincial team players will be on hand at Burnaby Lake Sports Complex-East for a youth clinic on Monday Aug. 3.
Clinic times are 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. and the cost is $30.

Pacific Nations Cup
Canada’s national men’s rugby team will be kicking off the Pacific Nations Cup competition against Tonga later this month.
The international matchup will take place at Swangard Stadium on Friday, July 24 at 7 p.m.
The Pacific Nations Cup is an international competition between six Pacific Rim nations, including Fiji, Japan, Samoa, Tonga, United States and Canada.
Swangard will also be the place to be on Monday, Aug. 3 when all six teams will be in action, playing final placement matches in a triple-header of non-stop rugby, including the Nations Cup championship final.
The Nations Cup tournament provides competitive test matches in a tournament format, preparing Canada for the upcoming Rugby World Cup.
