Royals take peewee puck tourney in Kamloops

The New Westminster Royals won the Winter Classic peewee hockey tournament in Kamloops last weekend. The C1 Royals were unbeaten in all five of its games, including a 4-1 win over the Kelowna Predators to win the two-day weekend tourney.

The C1 Royals were unbeaten in all five of its games, including a 4-1 win over the Kelowna Predators to win the two-day weekend tourney. Game MVP Jacob Bins scored three goals, while the tournament leading scorer Troy Tucsok, with 13 points, got the eventual game-winner. Alex Lazecki also had a strong tournament with 10 total points. Mathew Forero and Thai Tran combined for a 1.60 goals against average to lead the Royals.
