RuiLin Huang led the way, winning her 35th straight tournament title, including both the women's singles and sharing the mixed doubles with rookie Nathan Choi.

Fifth-year Charmagne Yeung paired with newcomer Laura Tacon, a product of the Shuttlesport/Douglas College badminton academy, to upset the No. 1 Vancouver Island University duo in three sets in the women's doubles final.

Luo Wei and Choi lost in the men's doubles final to Kwantlen pair Willis Kwee and Andy Wong. Bob Sharma also had to settle for second place, losing in the men's singles final to Jason Sun of Langara.

Earlier, Douglas won the team competition with a perfect 4-0 record.
