Dezaray Hawes claimed a C event berth into the provincial junior girls' curling championships following a 6-2 victory over Brandi Tinkler of Victoria at the Coastal playdowns in Chilliwack.
Hawes broke open a 2-2 tie in the seventh end with one in eight, and steals in the ninth and 10th ends.
