The New Westminster midget B team coached by Stu Watson and John Wilson won a gold medal at the Ridge Meadows Barn Burner lacrosse tournament this weekend.
The midget Salmonbellies also came second in the skills competition.
The 'Bellies won the championship final with a 10-1 win over North Delta. In the four games played, New West outscored its combined opponents 44-5. Leading the team in tournament scoring was Cam Danroth with 14 points.
