The Royal City Salsa recorded its second straight shutout in the playdowns following a 3-0 victory over the Vancouver Fury at Point Grey Turf on Sunday.
Emily Butts had a pair of goals, while Natalie Nelson got the game-winner. Tea Canton and Monica Disanjh shared the shutout in goal for the Salsa.
Royal City faces South Delta United at Mackie Turf on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Westminster United went down to defeat 1-0 to the Vancouver Killarney All-Stars in a u-14 boys' B quarter-final at Mercer Oval on Saturday after a promising start a week earlier.
United opened the playdowns with an 8-1 win over West Vancouver United.
Burnaby is still alive in five Coastal A Cup playdowns.
The Burnaby Selects advanced to the semifinals in four separate boys' divisions, while the Burnaby Girls Strikers also moved into the final four in the under-18 age group following last weekend action.
The u-18 Selects got shutout goalkeeping from Geordie Penman and single goals from Justin Dhaliwal and Jayson Santiago, with the game-winner in a 2-0 win over Langley United at Burnaby Lake-West on Sunday.
The Selects also stayed in contention for the Coastal Cup in the boys' u-13, u-14 and u-15 A playdowns.
Oliver Morrison-Harding broke open a 1-1 matchup with Vancouver FC midway through the second half with a pair of goals, including the game-winner on a nifty flick over the goalie off a long free kick. Burnaby went on to win 3-1.
Sebastian Solorio Diaz opened the scoring for the u-14 Burnaby club with a first-half marker.
Burnaby will take on No. 1 Port Moody on Saturday at 2 p.m.
The u-13 regular season champion Selects bombed the West Vancouver Rangers 8-0 in their quarter-final match Saturday.
Sekawnee Baker led the way with a hat trick, while Mario Greco and Abobaker Ghaus both notched a pair of goals. Tak Tasaka added a single marker for the Selects, which lost just once this season. Aleks Kalajdzic got the shutout in goal for Burnaby.
Burnaby takes on CCB Pegasus in the semifinal at Burnaby Lake-West at noon Saturday.
The u-15 Selects also won, beating Surrey Guildford 3-1 at Cloverdale Athletic Park.
The Burnaby Girls also won their quarter-final, blanking Langley FC 5-0.
Ashley Hultman scored twice for the Strikers, while Jaimie Sokalski, Wanja Mwariga and Adrienne Juni all tallied single counters. Sabine Grutter and Olivia Alexis shared the shutout.
The Strikers take on the Richmond Red Hot Selects at Hugh Boyd at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
