New West places three in Sr. class

Nathan Stewart of New Westminster was ranked eighth in Lacrosse - Inside the Game's list of top graduating Canadian field lacrosse players. Stewart is listed as the best defenceman to come out of B.C.

Nathan Stewart of New Westminster was ranked eighth in Lacrosse - Inside the Game's list of top graduating Canadian field lacrosse players.

Stewart is listed as the best defenceman to come out of B.C. since Danny McDermott of Richmond was recruited last season by New York Institute of Technology.

Also on the list of top 50 field players from the Royal City are goalie Ty Barrett at 32nd overall and attack Josh Byrne in 36th place.

Tyler Kirkby of Burnaby also made the top 50, placing 43rd overall.

The top Lower Mainland pick was Coquitlam midfielder Challen Rogers, who was described as having "the size of a big man and the finesse of the very best goal scorers."
