New Westminster's Oscar Porcellato goes yard for the Royal City major division fall baseball team

The New Westminster Major fall ball team went undefeated though the last leg of the baseball season.

The baseball season is split into three parts – a 20-game spring season, which is considered the regular season, the summer all-star season and an eight to 10-game fall ball season.

New West wrapped up the third season with a recent 18-3 win over Langley in Langley. New West threw six different pitchers at Langley with Liam Bates getting the save and solid innings from Noah Musgrave and Mateo Lesjak.

The success of the New west team has come from solid pitching and great hitting, including Jake Kain, who went four-for-four at the plate with three runs batted in and Oscar Porcellato, who was two-for-two with three RBIs, including a solo home run to deep center field in the thirrd inning.

New West finished the fall campaign with six wins and no loses. A lone draw came from behind 9-9 tie versus Jericho. The Royal City team also defeated Whalley 4-2, White Rock 14-1, Coquitlam 11-6, and Langely 18-2 and 18-3.
