A talented group of seven-year-old hockey players from New Westminster moved up a level to win a spring league 3-on-3 championship title.
Backstopped by the goaltending of Jayden Braich, the Jets defeated the Angel Sharks, an all-girl team of nine and 10-year-olds, 11-5 in the championship final at Excellent Ice in Surrey last weekend.
The Jets began the spring campaign at Hockey 2 but were moved up an age level because of their dominating play.
The Hockey 3 Jets, including skaters Matiss Osborne, Levi Green, Will Gallant, Mitchell Birovchak, Kai Marshall and Carson Rerup, finished with an overall 11-2 record.
The Icehawks and Badgers also made their respective 3-on-3 finals.
