Marta Nykl of New Westminster won four medals in table tennis at the B.C. Seniors Games in Kamloops last weekend.
Nykl won a pair of gold in competitive doubles, winning the 75/79 mixed and 70/74 women's divisions, while placing second in the 75/79 singles and 70/74 mixed doubles.
Peter McConville shone in badminton, sharing gold in the 75/79 men's competitive and mixed doubles. He also placed second in the singles final.
Grayden Baker won three medals in cycling, taking bronze in the 80/84 men's competitive time trial, hill climb and road race.
Norm Lesage was victorious in the men's 80/84 sprints, winning gold in the 100, 200 and 400m.
"I won three of them without breaking anything. Now I'm ready to meet somebody," said the 83-year-old Edmonds sprinter.
Lesage has plans to compete in Las Vegas with the intention of qualifying as a Nevada state champion Times holding up pretty good.
at the end of September for a spot in the U.S. national championships in 2014.
"I'm getting older, but my times are holding up pretty good," Lesage said.
Fung Yu Ching won gold in the competitive 80/84 men's doubles, while placing third in singles.
Laura Low and Heather Dixon paired up for gold in women's 55-plus lawn bowling.
Doug Wakefield won a bronze Jeanne Nightingale and David Cordery placed third in Flight C 55-and-over pairs whist.
Brian Dunphy helped the Mariners to a silver medal in men's over-65 ice hockey.
Mike Jones garnered a bronze medal with the Kootenay Glacier Kings in over-60 men's hockey.
Ross Morris and Bob Montgomery also shared a bronze with the Old Goats men's over-70 ice hockey team.
Zone 4 finished third overall with 295 total medals, including a second-best 138 gold. Fraser Valley and South Central placed first and second, respectively.
