Midget girls earn draw at Mac's tournament

Burnaby defender Michelle Toor scored two goals for the Fraser Valley Phantom at the Mac's midget female hockey championships. Toor scored single goals in the Phantom's 3-1 loss to the Regina Rebels on Dec. 27.

Burnaby defender Michelle Toor scored two goals for the Fraser Valley Phantom at the Mac's midget female hockey championships.

Toor scored single goals in the Phantom's 3-1 loss to the Regina Rebels on Dec. 27. She also tallied in a 3-2 defeat to the Calgary Chaos the following day.

Fraser Valley, including Renee Lemieux of New Westminster, earned a 3-3 draw against the Westman Wildcats before finishing the round-robin with a 4-1 loss against the eventual runner-up Edmonton Thunder.

The Vancouver Fusion, including Burnaby forward Myah Ollek, finished with a 1-3 record.

The Fusion's lone win was a 2-1 victory over the Lloydminster PWM Steelers.

The Regina Rebels won the girls' gold-medal final 3-2 over Edmonton.

Fusion's Sienna Cooke and Alexandra Frisk of the Fraser Valley Phantom were both recipients of Mac's inaugural female player scholarships.

Phantom defender Madison Sands was named an all-tournament second team all-star.
