McGill players named all-conference

New Westminster's Kyle Robinson was named to the Canadian University field lacrosse association East division All-Canadian team on defence. Robinson, a 2008 grad of the Burnaby Mountain Selects program, is a junior at McGill University in Montreal.

Robinson, a 2008 grad of the Burnaby Mountain Selects program, is a junior at McGill University in Montreal.

Robinson helped the Redmen to a 9-1 regular season record and a berth into the final four of the Baggataway Cup. McGill wound up losing to Brock University in the semifinals.

The New Westminster junior A box player was the only B.C.-born player to receive All-Canadian honours.

McGill midfielder and Burnaby Mountain Selects product, Jishan Sharples, was named a East conference honourable mention.

Bishop's University defeated Brock 11-6 in the Baggataway final.

Bishop's and McGill tied following the regular season with identical 9-1-0 records to top the East division.

Brock shared first place in the West division with an 8-2-0 record.
