Royal City club masters picked up three of five available berths at the B.C. curling provincial championships next month.
Carol McFadden and Mo McLeod won berths at the provincials at the women's masters Region 11 qualifier at the Coquitlam Curling Club, while on the men's side, Dave Smith also earned a berth.
McFadden need just two games to win entry into next month's provincial championships in Cowichan.
The RCCC rink, including third Mona Bassett, second Monica Hunter and lead Ann MacLeod, defeated eventual B event winner Karen Lepine of Langley 5-3 in the A event final.
McFadden opened with a 10-1 win over Donna Christian, stealing one in the third end and three more in the runaway six-ender.
Lepine went on to knock off the McLeod rink of third Heather Kerr, second Sue Teleske and lead Janeen Curley 7-2 in the B final.
McLeod doubled clubmate Isobel Gardner 11-5 on the strength of a four-rock steal in the fourth in the C final.
In the men's regional final held in conjunction with the women's qualifier, the Smith rink of third Ted Bassett, second Dave Miller and lead Gary Smith, locked up a spot at the B.C.'s with a big eighth end against Abbotsford's Jim Hambly in the A event final.
Trailing 7-4 after five ends, Smith scored three in the sixth to tie.
But Hambly shot back with two in the seventh, setting up Smith for a remarkable three-rock finish in the final eighth end. Smith defeated clubmate Rick Pughe 6-2 with a four-rock fourth end to advance to the A final.
Chilliwack's Bob Pistacky edged Hambly 10-7 in the B final to earn the other men's berth.
The masters men's and women's provincials will be held in Cowichan, Feb. 28 to March 3.
