Hyacks medal at regions

Ten-year-old Kyra Tamagi led the Hyack Swim Club to a strong showing at the Lower Mainland regional championships. Tamagi won three gold, including the 50metre butterfly and 50and 100m freestyle, while also picking up four other medals.

Tamagi won three gold, including the 50metre butterfly and 50and 100m freestyle, while also picking up four other medals. She was second in the 200m individual medley and third in the 100m breaststroke and 200m free.

Emily Lukas, 12, also won three races, sweeping gold in the 50 to 200m free. Lukas also was second in the 50m fly and third in the 200m backstroke.

Zoe Froh, 10, won both the 50m breast and 400m IM. Froh was second in the 400m free and third in the 50m fly and 100m free.

Jacob Garricks, 13, won the 200m fly, while taking silver in the 50m back and 400m free and bronze in the 100m fly and 200m IM.

Micah Lau, 12, and Amar Fejzic, 13, also won gold. Lau won the 200m free, while Fejzic was first in the 50m fly.
