The New Westminster Hyacks high school football team gave out its team awards at the program's annual year-end banquet at the Roma Hall in Queensborough last Friday.
Jeremy Wilson walked away with the varsity MVP award.
Jonathan Lopez Cruz was named best back, while Makoto Brennen earned the Kevin Chin top lineman award.
Kevin Sabau won the G&F Financial coaches award and Arjun Venkatesh was the team's scholar athlete. Quarterback Regan Eberding won the Sidoo Family scholarship.
Julian Ramirez was named the junior varsity team's most valuable player.
Tristan Sands earned the award for best JV back, while quarterback Tommy Robertson, who saw a lot of action this season on the senior team, received the coaches award.
Top JV lineman went to Stewart Sommerfeld.
Tiger Xu was the team's scholar athlete winner.
