New Westminster and Burnaby South will go headto-head for the BurWest high school girls' basketball title today.
The New West Hyacks breezed into the championship final behind a 24-point performance from Meriam Ali following a 77-25 semifinal victory over Burnaby North at Massey Gym on Monday.
Amanda Zachurak added 13 points to the win, while teammates Jettie McLaughlin and Manisha Kandola chipped in with seven and six points, respectively.
In the other semifinal, Burnaby South advanced to the final with a 64-35 win over Byrne Creek.
