Tickets for the Feb. 16 Burnaby Sports Hall of Fame induction dinner are selling fast.
The induction dinner, which will be held at the Firefighters' Club in Metrotown, will see seven individuals and one team inducted into the 11th edition of the ceremonies.
The four athletes being inducted are the late Hank Grenda (multi-sport), Michelle Hendry (Simon Fraser University basketball), Dave Chavarria (baseball) and Jason Delesalle (athletics). The two builders are Ted Barton (figure skating) and Dr. Jack Taunton (sports medicine).
Going in as coach is Burnaby Lake Rugby Club's Walt Brandl, while the team is the 1966 Legion 148 national men's club soccer champions.
A reception begins the evening at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. The induction ceremonies start at 8: 15 p.m.
