The Simon Fraser University hockey club improved its 10-1-0-1 record with back-to-back wins last weekend.
The Clan opened up with an 11-4 win at third-place University of Victoria on Friday, before returning home for an 8-3 victory against Thompson Rivers University on Saturday.
Rookie Brenden Silvester punctuated the start of his varsity career, garnering five goals in his Clan debut, including SFU's last four counters against Thompson Rivers.
Bruin McDonald and Ben Van Lare also posted four-point games against the Kamloops club. McDonald opened the scoring for SFU, while Van Lare moved into the Clan's scoring lead with four assists.
In Victoria, Trevor Milner sparked a second-half scoring spree with back-to-back goals, including a shorthanded marker, midway through the middle frame.
Kale Wild led the Clan with a four-point outing, including his first shorthanded tally as SFU outscored UVic 9-4 in the second and third periods.
SFU is on the road this weekend, taking on Eastern Washington on Friday before travelling to Castlegar for a first-place tilt with unbeaten Selkirk College on Saturday.
