Royal City Curling Club skip Carol McFadden missed a chance for a third B.C. masters women's curling title following a 105 loss to Langley's Karen Lepine in the title game in Cowichan last Sunday.

McFadden, who skipped a Royal City rink to a provincial title in 2009 after earning a share of her first B.C. title as a second in 2007, suffered a five-rock setback in the fifth end in the final against the Langley skip.

McFadden advanced to the final with a 7-2 win over Vivian MacDonald of Kamloops in the semi-final.

Royal City clubmate Mo McLeod was eliminated following an 8-5 tiebreaker to Joanne Phillips of Qualicum.
