The No. 2-ranked Douglas College Royals are hosting a men's volleyball tournament, starting today.
The three-day Douglas College Christmas Invitational kicks off with a full slate of matchups, beginning at 10 a.m. at the New Westminster campus gym on 700 Royal Ave.
The Royals take on the No. 1 Red Deer Kings in what should be the showdown on Sunday, Dec. 30 at 6: 15 p.m.
Herb House
The annual Herb House midget A/C hockey tournament wraps up on Sunday, Dec. 30 at Queen's Park Arena.
The Division A final will face off at 6 p.m., following the house-league gold-medal matchup.
The C bronze-medal game takes place earlier, beginning at 12: 15 p.m. at Queen's Park Arena. The consolation A final follows.
4 Day cycling
The Burnaby Velodrome is host to four days of two-wheeled racing at the Superior Glass 4 Day, featuring elite and pro riders, including Gillian Carleton Olympic bronze medallist in the pursuit and U.S. pro rider Tyler Farrar.
Racing begins at 6: 30 p.m. each night, with feature races highlighting the schedule.
On Saturday, stage band Columbia will rock the Barnet Highway bubble.
Future stars of cycling races will be run each night. Admission is just $5 at the door. Free bicycle parking inside.
