The Douglas College Royals won three games against Shoreline in a pair of weekend baseball doubleheaders. The 8-8 Royals finished off Shoreline 9-4 on Sunday with a 13-hit triumph.

Takato Sakurai, Shayne Kelly and Bryan Arthur, with a triple, all batted in a pair of runs for the New Westminster team.

Douglas dropped the late game 6-1 in the return series.

On Saturday, the Royals scored six runs in each of their 6-3, 6-0 victories over the Washington State college at Whalley Stadium in Surrey.

Matt Ney had one hit, batted in a pair of runs and scored a run, while team batting leader Bradley Clarke had a pair of singles in the Royals' opening 6-3 win.

Clayton Franco picked up the win, going eight innings while allowing just three hits and registering seven strikeouts.

In the later game, Sean Callegari threw a seveninning, three-hit shutout to post the win. Callegari fanned eight batters in the win.

Jeremy Kraj had two hits, two RBIs in two atbats for the Royals. Kelly also drove in a pair of runs in the win.
