The Royal City Demons scored three unanswered goals to defeat the Burnaby Girls Sparks in an under-11 girls' semifinal soccer cup match at New Westminster Secondary School.

The Royal City Demons scored three unanswered goals to defeat the Burnaby Girls Sparks in an under-11 girls' semifinal soccer cup match at New Westminster Secondary School.

Down 1-0 to Burnaby, the Demons rallied with 10 minutes remaining, scoring three times to win the semi final cup matchup.

Jennifer Hannay got things started with the game-tying goal, before Taylor Spong tallied the game-winner. Natalie Nastase sealed the victory with the team's third goal of the second half.

With the win, the u-11 girls remained unbeaten this season, including two gold medals in tournament play.

Coach Scott Hannay attributes the team's success to hard work and team play. "All the girls contribute, it's a real team effort, " he said.
