The 13th edition of the Danone Nations Cup will begin in Burnaby with a B.C. provincial camp this Sunday.

Soccer players 10 to 12 years old are invited to try out at a youth camp to be held at Burnaby Lake Sports Complex-West. The tryout will take place from noon to 3 p.m. on Field 1.

This year's Danone Cup will culminate with the international final in Warsaw, Poland from Sept. 7 to 9.

Canada's best-ever sixth-place finish at last year's international final in Madrid, Spain should be big motivating factor for this year's wannabees, said external communication manager of Danone Canada Anne-Julie Maltais.

"For Danone, this tournament is, above all else, a unique opportunity for children to develop camaraderie, an openness to the world, and the desire to go after their dreams," said Maltais in a press release.
