The Simon Fraser University hockey club dropped its first game in the B.C. Intercollegiate league this weekend.

The Clan lost 5-4 to third-place Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops on Saturday.

The first-place Clan responded the following day with a resounding 12-4 victory over lowly Selkirk College at home.

In Kamloops, SFU came back from a 3-1 deficit to take the lead 4-3 in the final period on a pair of back-to-back goals from Jono Ceci less than two minutes apart.

Colton Graf sparked the Clan goal flurry with his sixth of the season from New Westminster's Todd Fletcher and Joey Pavone.

Two minutes later, Ceci potted a pair from linemates Ben Van Lare and captain Chris Hoe.

But first star Jose Reyes tied the score with an unassisted marker. Reyes then tallied the game-winner on the power play with six minutes left to play.

At home, SFU got hat tricks from game stars Van Lare and Ceci. Pavone also had a productive game with two goals and three assists. Kyle Leung also chipped in, adding four helpers.

The Clan lead atop the standings with a 141-4 record. Thompson Rivers remained in third place behind Okanagan College.
