Byrne Creek grad Stephanie Gill had a productive weekend for the University of Manitoba Bisons women's basketball team.

Gill, a New Westminster resident, was perfect off the bench in Manitoba's 73-62 loss to the University of Saskatchewan Huskies in a Canada West conference women's game on Saturday.

The first-year forward was good on four-of-four shots from three-point land in the loss.

In an earlier game, the Manitoba freshman also potted 10 points and had six rebounds and two assists in a 76-67 loss last Friday in the first of a two-game set played in Saskatoon.

Gill currently leads the Bisons in threepoint shooting with a .407 per cent success rate. She has started in eight games this season and is third in team scoring, averaging 5.4 points per game.
