New Westminster's Kevin Crowley was named the Major League Lacrosse offensive player of the year.
The former collegiate player of the year had a career season with the Hamilton Nationals of the pro field lacrosse league this season, posting personal bests 38 goals, 14 assists and a league-high 55 points. His goal total was also second-best in the MLL.
Crowley was also named a first-team pro all-star and was the game MVP at the league's annual all-star game, scoring three goals and adding two helpers in the league showcase.
The New Westminster minor lacrosse product garnered six first-place votes in the league voting, double the number of votes of co-league scoring champion Chris Bocklet of Denver and Charlotte's Matt Danowski.
"This is a big honour," said Crowley in an online league press release. "To have the respect of the MLL coaches and (general managers) is a huge compliment. A lot of it, though, comes down to playing on a great team where my teammates are making me a better player."
