Reagan Harding tallied three of his four points in the opening period, including a pair of goals, while Keegan Bal also figured into the scoring early, notching his first goal of the season that put the visitors up 3-1 with less than four minutes gone in the opening quarter.

First-year junior Steve Ferdinandi also had a four-point game, including the eventual game-winner early in the third period with his sixth marker of the year.

Frank Scigliano got the win in goal, stopping 25 Victoria shots.

With the win, New Westminster improved its league record to 3-1.

The Salmonbellies took on the 1-2 Langley Thunder Tuesday (after Record deadlines). The team's next game is at Queen's Park Arena on May 22 against the Port Coquitlam Saints.
