B.C. Sports Hall of Fame is accepting nominations

Categories for consideration in the Hall are athlete, builder, pioneer, media, team and WAC Bennett Award.

Do you know a British Columbian who has accomplished sporting greatness? The B.C. Sports Hall of Fame is accepting nominations for the 2016 Class of Inductees until Oct. 1.

For close to 50 years, the B.C. Sports Hall of Fame has preserved and honoured B.C.’s sport heritage by recognizing extraordinary achievements in sport.

All nominees to be considered by the selection committee must have attained a high level of excellence at a senior level of competition and have brought honour to B.C. sport through their passion, commitment and dedication to sport.

Induction into the B.C. Sports Hall of Fame is the highest recognition awarded to an athlete, team, builder or media member in the province of British Columbia.

Nomination Forms can be downloaded from http://www.bcsportshalloffame.com/inductees/nominate/  where you will also find a complete list of B.C. Sports Hall of Famers starting in 1966.

Categories for consideration: athlete, builder, pioneer, media, team and WAC Bennett Award. Please note: full selection criteria can be found on the nomination form.

Please note – as a multi-sport provincial organization the B.C. Sports Hall of Fame receives over 100 nominations annually and selection is a competitive process.

All nominations are considered for three consecutive years. We encourage all nominators to spend time on the nominations and thoroughly review the criteria and application process.
