Team B.C. finished the opening round robin in second place following a 7-6 double overtime win over Iroquois Nation at the National bantam boys' lacrosse championships in Whitby, Ont. on Tuesday.
William Clayton of Ridge Meadows, who leads all B.C. scorers with 11 goals, scored the gamewinning goal at 3:02 of the second extra time.
Eric Maas of New Westminster added to a productive 12-point contribution in B.C.'s first six games, knotting the score at 2-2 early in the second period.
Maas also tallied a pair of goals in B.C.'s only loss to date, a 9-6 defeat to unbeaten Ontario on Sunday.
Maas, the lone New West runner on B.C., tallied both goals in the first period, including the 3-2 go-ahead goal.
Ontario rallied in the pivotal middle period, outscoring B.C. 4-1 for what proved the margin of victory.
