Gudmund Lindbjerg stormed from behind to win his fourth consecutive B.C. senior men's golf title Thursday.

The Port Moody golfer fired a three-under-par 69 on the third day of the senior's championship, fashioning a winning five-over 221 to edge Nanaimo's Tony Hatchwell by a single stroke.

With the feat, Lindbjerg became the first senior between the ages of 54 and 64 years of age to win four consecutive B.C. Golf Association titles.

Hatchwell, who led after 36 holes, came in with an even-par 72 on the final day at the Squamish Valley Golf and Country Club.

Lindbjerg opened the competition with a nine-over 81 before shooting a bogey-free final round in the 54-hole competition.

Paul Batchelor of New Westminster, one of the first-round leaders, finished in 10th place with a six-over-par 229.

Another Royal City golfer, Brian Graham, was three shots back after shooting back-to-back 77s in the final two rounds.

Former B.C. seniors champ John Gallacher of Burnaby finished in a tie for 22nd place with a 233 total.

Banks Scott of Burnaby was right behind Gallacher at 234.
