Here are our suggestions for the Sept. 14 to 16 weekend.

1Support Hyacks football and have a blast at Homecoming 2012. The

New Westminster Hyacks will take on the Carson Graham Eagles at 7: 30 p.m. at Mercer Stadium. The fun-filled night includes a pre-game alumni touch football tournament, an unveiling of the Hyacks' all-decade team, a halftime concert featuring the band Merge, and a post-game fireworks display. 2 Buy a new set of wheels at the City of New Westminster's public auction, which is being held on Saturday, Sept. 15 at 10: 30 a.m. at the city's towing and storage compound at 231 Ewen Ave. The city is disposing of a number of vehicles by public auction to recover the towing, storage, legal and other costs associated with disposing of the vehicles.

3244. 4 Get the information you need to become a freelancer at Freelance Camp, which bills itself as "an un-conference style event" for independent workers to connect, share knowledge, and become better freelancers. The oneday event on Saturday, Sept. 15 is a time to discuss, interact with other, learn from others' experiences and share your knowledge with fellow freelancers.

Freelance camp is being held at River Market and costs $15 (which includes lunch). Proceeds will go to charity. For more information, visit www. thenetworkhub.ca/freelancecamp.

5 Help keep Terry Fox's dream of finding a cure for cancer alive by taking part in the 2012 Terry Fox Run in New West. Instead of the hills of Queen's Park, participants will take to a level course in a new location along the Quay boardwalk. Everyone is welcome to participate in the fundraising event that gets underway at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 16 on the boardwalk (registration takes place in River Market's food hall starting at 9 a.m.) For more information, visit www.terryfox. org.
