Dr. Brenda Horner, who practices optometry in New Westminster, has been elected a director of the B.C. Association of Optometrists.
The election took place at the end of February during the association's annual conference.
Horner's office is the Family Eyecare Centre at Royal City Centre in Uptown New West.
Along with electing new directors, the association also honoured B.C. optometrists who made an outstanding contribution in their field. Doctors of optometry provide a full range of vision and eye health care, including comprehensive eye exams, vision correction, disease detection, treatment and eyewear.
