Police are searching for a man suspected in seven different robberies in Metro Vancouver in one day.

The robberies all took place on Jan. 15, 2022, according to the Vancouver Police Department (VPD).

In Vancouver, the suspect allegedly entered the Marine Gateway Liquor Store at Southwest Marine Drive and Cambie Street at 6:45 p.m. and brandished a knife while demanding cash.

The employee called 911 instead and the man fled the scene without taking money.

Just half an hour later, around 7:15 p.m., the man was seen in the London Drugs at Granville and West Georgia streets in downtown Vancouver and allegedly demanded money.

The VPD is working with the Richmond RCMP on the case as they believe the same man committed five robberies the same day in Richmond; police did not release details about those cases.

The man is described as a white male 25 to 35 years of age. At the time he had short hair and either a moustache or beard. He was wearing a puffy black jacket, a white t-shirt and dark pants.

Anyone with information is asked to call 1-604-717-2541.
