The New Westminster extreme weather response team has extended an extreme weather alert so folks in need can find shelter from snow, wind, raind - and whatever else Mother Nature has in store.
Anyone who is sleeping outside is encouraged to come to the Cliff Block, where shelter spaces will be available. The initial weather alert began was called for Jan. 8 to 15, but has now been extended until Monday, Jan. 20.
Shelter spaces are available in the lower level of the Cliff Block at 606 Clarkson St. (at Sixth St.) starting at 8 p.m.
“If you are sleeping outside, please come to the shelter,” said the extreme weather response alert.
