A Surrey man was taken to hospital after he was found suffering from stab wounds in New Westminster Sunday afternoon.
New Westminster police were called to the 600 block of Clarkson Street around 4:15 p.m. on Aug. 2. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man in distress. The 22-year-old victim, who has not been identified, had serious but non-life threatening stab wounds, according to a media release.
Police believe the wounds were caused by a knife. The incident is not considered a random attack, and investigators don’t believe it was gang-related either, according to the release.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment. No arrests have been made.
