A motorcyclist is dead after a collision with a commercial vehicle on Stewardson Way Friday morning.
The crash happened around 8:45 a.m. at 12th Street and Stewardson Way, according to police.
The intersection was closed for about five hours while investigators with the department’s collision analysis team collected evidence to determine what caused the fatal crash.
Sgt. Chad Johnston, spokesperson for the New Westminster police, wouldn't speculate on what caused the deadly accident until investigators could confirm what happened.
Police have notified the victim’s next of kin who’ve requested the name not be released at this time, Johnston added.
