1 Get cheering hysterically for the New Westminster Salmonbellies on Sunday, Aug. 21 at Queen's Park Arena for Game 3 of the WLA Finals.

The Salmonbellies host the surging Langley Thunder for the right to host the Mann Cup in September. New Westminster has home-court advantage in the seven-game series.

All New Westminter home games start at 7: 45 p.m. at Queen's Park Arena.

2 Get dancing on Friday, Aug. 19 with a free Egyptian belly dancing class, starting at 7 p.m. at Hyack Square at the foot of Eighth Street and Columbia.

The event is weather permitting, so visit www. dancewithme newwest.com on the day of the event to see if the dancing is going ahead.

3 Get digging on Saturday, Aug. 20 with Can You Dig It?

This event is presented by the Fraser River Discovery Centre and features a visit to the River District Centre at 8683 Kerr St. in Vancouver from 1 to 3 p.m.

The centre showcases plans for the 130-acre River District project and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Info: www.fraser riverdiscovery.org.

4 Get some bargains at the fifth annual Quayside Community Boardwalk Festival and Sale.

This event attracts thousands of treasure hunters and music lovers. Browse through more than 150 tables of collectibles, books, household items and more, or just drop by to enjoy the musical entertainment, kids' zone, farmers' market or salmon barbecue.

The event is held on the waterfront esplanade on Saturday, Aug. 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

5 Get entertained by the opening weekend of H.M.S. Pinafore, as presented by DragonDiva Operatic Theatre, at the Bernie Legge Theatre in Queen's Park.

Enjoy Gilbert and Sullivan's hilarious opera in one of the Royal City's most intimate settings.

Shows are Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
