BC Lottery Corporation is reaching out to find the person who has a million-dollar lottery ticket because it’s set to expire.

A Lotto 6/49 player who purchased a $1 million winning ticket in Victoria earlier this year still has not claimed the life-changing prize, and time is running out.

The winning ticket is an exact match for the 10-digit (18923844-07) Lotto 6/49 Guaranteed Prize Draw held Jan. 3, 2018. The winner has until the end of the business day on Jan. 3, 2019 to claim his or her winnings.

“All lottery winners have 52 weeks from the draw date printed on their ticket to come forward and claim their prize,” said a news release. “BCLC will announce the winner’s name, and the specific retail location where he or she purchased the ticket, after the player comes forward. BCLC is encouraging players to look anywhere they might keep a lottery ticket to see if they are B.C.’s newest millionaire.”
