This is how much rain New West will see over Easter weekend (hint: it's a lot)

New West's Easter weekend weather in a word? Wet.

The Easter Bunny may want to call on some help from his buddy the Easter Duck, if this weekend’s New West weather forecast is any indication.

Spoiler alert: It’s going to be wet. Like, “80 millimetres’ worth of rain over the Easter weekend” levels of wet.

The Weather Network is forecasting a grey long weekend for New West, with light rain tomorrow (Friday, April 7) bringing up to 5 mm of rain. Saturday will see another 10 mm, while Easter Sunday may see 40 to 50 mm of rain. (Keep in mind, that’s four to five centimetres.)

Monday will bring another 10 to 15 mm, for a total of up to 80 mm (eight centimetres) over the four-day weekend.

Temperatures over the weekend will remain pretty steady, with highs of up to 11 C on Friday and Saturday, and 9 C on Sunday and Monday.

In a nutshell? You may want to wear gumboots with your Easter dress. And maybe swap out that Easter bonnet for a rainhat.
