1 Get entertained at A Phoenix Christmas, with Phoenix Chamber Choir, organist Roy Campbell and 5 the Burnaby District Youth Choir on Saturday, Dec. 17. The concert is at the New Westminster Christian Reformed Church, 8255 13th Ave., in Burnaby but close to the New Westminster border. Tickets are $25, students and seniors get in for $20. 2 Get shopping for a Christmas tree while supporting a fabulous local cause. Aunt Leah's, a non-profit based in New Westminster, is holding their annual tree sale. Proceeds go to programs that help keep young moms and foster kids off the street. This year, Aunt Leah's has launched an online store, so you can order a tree without leaving home. 3 Get skating with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 17 at the Moody Park Arena, from 6: 30 to 8 p.m. Santa will be making an appearance, and there are fun activities for kids. Regular admission applies. For info, call 604-525-5301.

4 Get cheering at the New Westminster Hyack seniors girls' basketball Bob Gair tournament at Massey gym at NWSS, which wraps up on Friday, Dec. 16. New Westminster plays Seycove at 2: 45 p.m. Awards will follow the game. Meanwhile, the Hyack boys' team will be holding their tournament in the Pearson gym, also at NWSS.

5 Get shopping locally for Christmas at Got Craft? at River Market this weekend. There are vendors selling clothes, jewelry, bath items, paper goods, ceramics art and more. For info, go to www.rivermarket. ca. The market is at 810 Quayside Dr.
