The Soup Nazi is returning to the Royal City to help raise funds for local lacrosse teams.
Larry Thomas, who was nominated for an Emmy Award for his role as the Soup Nazi on Seinfeld, will be in the city to take part in the New Westminster junior and intermediate A lacrosse teams' Soup For Our 'Bellies fundraiser. Thomas will be serving soup at Greens and Beans Deli, 143 East Columbia St., on Saturday, May 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Thomas made the phrase "No soup for you" famous on the TV show, uttering those words and ejecting people from the restaurant when they didn't line up, order or pay in a particular way.
All proceeds from the event will go to the junior and intermediate A lacrosse teams.
Thomas has made several appearances at fundraisers in the Royal City in recent years.
