School district shuffles administration in time for September

The New Westminster School District announced a number New Westminster schools will be getting a new principal or vice-principal come September, including Lord Kelvin Elementary School.

The New Westminster School District announced a number New Westminster schools will be getting a new principal or vice-principal come September, including Lord Kelvin Elementary School.

Ken Millard will be taking over as principal at Lord Kelvin starting Aug. 1. This announcement comes nearly five months after the previous principal, Daljeet Rama left the district to work in Surrey.

Millard - who'll be leaving F.W. Howay elementary for Lord Kelvin - is one of five principals hopping schools this fall. Phil Cookson - former head of human resources for the district - will move to New Westminster Secondary School, Herbert Spencer gets Suzanne Cameron, Jamie Sadler to F.W. Howay; and Rhonda Anderson will take over at Queen Elizabeth.

There will also be several changes to vice-principals in the district. Lisa Nasato to Glenbrook Middle School, Hillary Devries to Lord Tweedsmuir, and Allan Saugstad to Hume Park elementary.
