The New Westminster school district shortlisted three design-build teams for the selection process on the new elementary school being built on the former St. Mary's Hospital site and expects to receive the firms' proposals in mid-September, according to an Aug. 24 online update from the New Westminster school projects website.
The project evaluation team will review the proposals and identify a preferred proposal and refer it to the community and city for input this fall, the website says.
"We'll keep you posted on how you can submit your feedback on the preferred proposal in the coming weeks. The school district anticipates the project contract will be awarded by November."
The school district is also building a new middle school on the current site of John Robson Elementary.
