Preschool artists are exploring work in a variety of creative mediums in the new exhibition Rock Paper Scissors, opening Wednesday at the Gallery at Queen's Park.

You can check out the work of some of New Westminster's youngest emerging artists this week at the Gallery at Queen's Park.

The gallery is hosting Rock Paper Scissors, an exhibition of work by the students of Queen's Park Parent Participation Preschool, from March 29 to April 9.

The preschool has combined with exploration of a variety of creative mediums with experimentation in materials for the new exhibition.

"While open-ended process is the foundation of our artistic learning, the result is an artful montage, an ode to spring, featuring works in acrylic, watercolour, mixed media, stone, paper and clay," said Donna Ross, educator and show curator, in a press release.

The Arts Council of New Westminster's gallery, which is located in Centennial Lodge, is open Wednesdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free, and donations to gallery operations are encouraged.
