It was great while it lasted, but the sunshine Metro Vancouver enjoyed over the past few days is taking a few days off.

Environment Canada calls for a 60 per cent chance of showers Monday, May 17 in Vancouver, cloudy conditions, and a high of 15C.

Overnight, the temp is expected to drop to 8C, with a continued chance of showers, and even a risk of thunderstorms in the region. Winds are expected to pick up around midnight.

Tuesday's forecast is much the same as Monday, with the risk of thunderstorms carried over into the day. The high for Tuesday is expected to be 14C, with a 60 per cent chance of showers during the day.

The possibility of rain continues into Wednesday, and right now Thursday is looking to bring a mix of sun and clouds.

As we head toward the May long weekend, it seems Friday will be a day of full sun, with Saturday and Sunday likely to offer a mix of sun and clouds.
