Remembrance Day events begin in the regimental armoury

The ceremony takes place at 10 a.m. (doors close at 9: 45 a.m.) at the Royal Westminster Regiment Armoury at 530 Queens Ave.

Overflow seating will be available across the street at Queens Avenue United Church, where the public will be able to watch and hear the ceremony that features a memorial address by Jack McGee.

After the ceremony, there will be a parade to the cenotaph at the front of city hall, where two minutes of silence will be observed at 11 a.m.

A wreath-laying ceremony and march past on Royal Avenue will follow.

The city's Remembrance Day services are well-attended events, so it's best to arrive early.
