The City of New Westminster says the Q to Q ferry service will be out of commission this morning due to problems caused by Thursday’s windstorm.
“Please be advised that all morning sailings of the #QtoQferry service will be cancelled on Friday, December 21st. Service will resume at noon, assuming favourable winds. #NewWest,” read a tweet at 10:52 p.m. on Thursday night.
The storm knocked the ferry out of service on Thursday as strong winds wreaked havoc on Metro Vancouver. For a time, New West city hall was in the dark due to a power outage.
