As families gear up for a return to school for 2022/23, we're asking: What issue matters most to you in the New Westminster school board race?

The back-to-school countdown clock has ticked down to less than three weeks — and, while New Westminster kids are making the most of these final carefree days of sunshine, we want to gather your opinions.

If you’re among the students, parents, caregivers and staff counting down the days till the start of the 2022/23 school year, then we want to know what’s on your mind.

With the Oct. 15 municipal election on the horizon, the Record is surveying readers to find out what issues are most important on the education front. What will you be considering when you head to the polls to mark your ballot for trustee candidates?

We’ve reviewed the headlines of the past school year and come up with this list of issues for you to choose from.

Please take the time to cast your vote (below) for the one issue you care about the most. Your votes will help to inform our coverage of the election campaign this fall, in advance of the Oct. 15 election.

If the option that's most pressing for you isn’t listed in this poll, please write us a comment below or email jmaclellan@newwestrecord.ca.
