Police searching for break-and-enter suspects

New Westminster police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects that allegedly broke into several mailboxes earlier this month.

New Westminster police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects that allegedly broke into several mailboxes earlier this month.

According to a media release from the department, two suspects entered the lobby of an apartment building in the 300 block of Ward Street on Jan. 5 at about 3:45 a.m.

“Once inside, they broke into a number of mailboxes and stole the contents,” stated the release.

Police have released images of the two suspects in the lobby, captured on the building’s surveillance camera. Investigators are now asking anyone who may recognize the individuals to contact the department immediately.

The first suspect is described as a Caucasian man with a dark complexion, average build and about 25 to 35 years old. He was pictured wearing a black jacket with a fur hood collar, dark jeans, white Nike shoes and carrying a black messenger bag.

The second suspect is described as a Caucasian man also with an average build. He was pictured wearing a grey hoodie and a black jacket with a distinct logo on the back. He was also wearing dark jeans, black and white shoes and carrying a black duffel bag.
