Police search for suspect in New Westminster SkyTrain station attack

The incident happened Friday, April 6 at 10:45 a.m. A woman was running to catch a train when she bumped into the suspect. After missing her train, she and the suspect exchanged words, according to a press release from Transit Police.

Video surveillance of the incident shows that as the victim turned away from the suspect, he threw his coffee at her. When she turned around to confront him, he pushed her down. She fell to the ground and hit her head on the platform, the release explained.The suspect promptly left the platform.

The victim is a 42-year-old woman from New Westminster. She was taken to hospital by Transit Police and treated for neck and back injuries and bruising, according to police.

Investigators are trying to identify the suspect, who is described as a white man in his mid-30s. He is approximately six feet tall with a medium build, black hair and possibly blue eyes. He was wearing a black hoodie with white designs on the pocket.
